Hello! I’m a UX/UI designer based in Minneapolis. In my free time, I enjoy watching all kinds of movies, playing video games with friends, reading, working out, or planning a trip to an exciting new place.
I have always had a creative spark and been interested in the tech world. At the start of college, I tried out computer science, but did not enjoy coding. I then pivoted into a psychology major and graduated in 2020. I ended up working in the mental health field with a diverse group of people for three years during which it fulfilled my desire of being empathetic and wanting to help others. During my time there, I eventually decided that this was not the career for me and I started to research what else I could do based on my background, eventually learning about UX/UI Design.
After reading more in depth about UX/UI design, I decided to take a leap and sign up with Designlab to learn more about it through hands-on experience. Through this I found out I could utilize my problem solving skills, basic knowledge of computer science, empathy, and helping others and combine that with design. My goal is to help design products that solve solutions impacting people, to keep gaining experience, and learn more about this growing industry.
